A family on Fox Trace in Clarence, NY, escaped unharmed from a fire early this morning, thanks to the alert from working smoke detectors. Firefighters were dispatched just after 2:45 a.m. and found the blaze concentrated at the rear of the residence. Crews worked efficiently to extinguish the fire, returning to service shortly after 5:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported among civilians or firefighters. The response was supported by Main Transit, East Amherst, Main Bowmansville Fire Companies, Twin City Ambulance, and Erie County Sheriffs road patrols and Fire Investigation, with Clarence Fire Department providing a standby engine at the firehouse.

We emphasize the importance of functioning smoke detectors, which played a crucial role in waking the family and ensuring their safe escape.
